2. It is very important to read English newspaper coz it is the most effective way to build up your vocabularies, and what's more, to understand the structure of English grammar. to be frank, the passages of the comprehension section in the ALE all come from English magazines or newspapers, hence, there is an urgent need to make reading English stuff your habit. Besides, English novels, TV programmes, radio programmes, movies are also great ways to euip you with fluent and correct English. If you want to, you may also have your diary written in English, and that is a booasting way in your composition skill!!
3. Once you capture a new vocabulary in your mind, get a notebook and have it written down, with its meaning, and other grammatical reference (e.g. if it is a noun or a verb, or an adjective?). But of coz, it is far beyond enough to have the vocab just written down. You MUST use it. Try to use it in your exercise or composition, and if you are wrong, learn why you are wrong and have the right use next time, by doing this, your vocabularies can be truly built up. |
