Your opinion is a bit subjective,because you are impossible to know the meaning of "redo" without knowing the meaning of "re" and "do" repsectively.In Chinese,for example,the word "火箭" just means "the arrow pushed by fire power",so simple it is!But in English a new word "rocket" has to be invented in order to express the meaning of this new invention.
